Recently reintroduced after a hiatus from the lineup, the Renegade is an exceptional crossover that provides equal parts capability and practicality. It behaves just as well on the road as it does on the trail, and all versions are fun to drive.
2016 Jeep Renegade Features
There is room for five passengers, and four trims are available. The Sport trim starts things off with features such as power windows and locks, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a height-adjustable driver seat, cloth upholstery, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a four-speaker sound system with an auxiliary jack and a USB port. The Latitude trim of the 2016 Jeep Renegade by Knoxville gains roof rails, fog lights, automatic headlights, heated power-adjustable outside mirrors, body-colored door handles and mirrors, air conditioning, a fold-flat front passenger seat, cruise control and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Tech features are numerous as well. The Latitude also gets you a rearview camera, the Uconnect control interface with 5.0-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, voice commands, an additional USB port and a six-speaker audio system.
Trims of the 2016 Jeep Renegade by Knoxville
The Limited tacks on a 115V power outlet, leather upholstery, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a leather-wrapped shift knob and a 40/20/40-split folding rear seat. The Trailhawk trim of the 2016 Jeep Renegade by Knoxville is the off-road-oriented model. It provides features like four-wheel drive, hill descent control, a raised suspension, tow hooks and underbody skid plates. Other amenities include automatic wipers, a full-size spare, an upgraded driver information display, a 115V power outlet, premium cloth upholstery, red interior stitching, a leather-wrapped shift knob and a removable cargo floor panel. The base engine for the lineup is a turbocharged 1.4L four-cylinder that generates 160 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard. Upper trims get a 2.4L four-cylinder that is good for 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard for this powertrain. All trims give you the option of either front- or four-wheel drive, with the exception of the Trailhawk, which is 4WD exclusively.
